Now that we are talking about Image Optimization and techniques for easy image optimization today, let me first ask you all- if you get a document which is full of text and has no image at all … and then you have another copy of the same document but this one has interesting images to support the text and information presented on the document…then which document will you prefer to read, the one which has plain text or the one with images to support the text….I am sure most of you will choose the second one with images. This is absolutely normal, because though image communicates passively, but when complimented with text, it becomes the easiest medium for multiple-way communication. And hence if some information along with supporting images is presented on a website then it is sure to get more traffic…!

Hence, because of all the above mentioned reasons, is has become very important to optimize the images used on a web-pages/websites.

Now let’s discuss image optimization and techniques for successful image optimization-:

The first thing that needs to be kept in mind is- Image Optimization is all a matter of Keywords. Just at SEO/Search Engine Optimization needs relevant keywords to achieve high page-ranks similar is the case with Image Optimization which requires relevant text and keywords to perform for the page.

Effective techniques which will help you in Optimizing Images are mentioned below, have a look:-

a- Caption Writing- here you can write a short-clear-crisp-relevant caption/description best describing the image and place it below or beside the image. This is one of the best techniques for increasing and enhancing an image’s search results.

b- ALT Attribute- Have ever tried noticing what happens when you place the mouse-cursor on an image present on a web page…? A text appears on the screen the moment you place the cursor on it. It is called alt. text and it plays a very important role in web browsing because it explains/describes the image, thus helps the search engines like Google Yahoo and Bing etc in understanding the image and reason for its placement. It is also important because it downloads faster than images hence even if the image does not get downloaded for some reason, then at least this text gives to the viewers an idea of what was on the page.

c- Text Links- these are used when an image needs to be linked to a web page. Keywords or text placed here are also called anchor texts.

d- File-name- it is always better if you name your images/files relevantly rather than letting is have haphazard name that generates automatically when you upload/save an image. For example, if an image has a name “image optimization tips 1” then it sounds much more meaningful than “LPG12734.jpg”…don’t you think so?

e- Wrap Text- it is a pattern where you can also present an image in a document or on a web page by placing it in the centre of the text that surrounds it. It is one of the most common pattern of image placement in print media i.e. Newspapers, Magazines, Book etc.

The above mentioned were some of the easiest tips of effective image optimization, however we have much more to offer you…
This is one of the best techniques for increasing and enhancing an image’s search results.

b- ALT Attribute- Have ever tried noticing what happens when you place the mouse-cursor on an image present on a web page…? A text appears on the screen the moment you place the cursor on it. It is called alt. text and it plays a very important role in web browsing because it explains/describes the image, thus helps the search engines like Google Yahoo and Bing etc in understanding the image and reason for its placement. It is also important because it downloads faster than images hence even if the image does not get downloaded for some reason, then at least this text gives to the viewers an idea of what was on the page.

c- Text Links- these are used when an image needs to be linked to a web page. Keywords or text placed here are also called anchor texts.

d- Filename- it is always better if you name your images/files relevantly rather than letting is have haphazard name that generates automatically when you upload/save an image.

At the Internet Advertising Bureau’s Annual Leadership meet, the CEO of Google: Dr. Eric Schmidt said, “mobile search in the recent times has grown much faster than the desk-top searches …” Going by this, we can come to the conclusion that it’s high-time for businesses to pay crucial attention on mobile as a medium of their marketing campaign, for it can drive consequential traffic to one’s website which leads to increase in business and revenue.

Hence if you are thinking of using the mobile technology as a medium for your business promotion and marketing, then a few strategies which you need to follow to get desired results and maximum visibility are mentioned below, have a look-

- The first thing you need to keep in mind is, no mobile technology will help you in escalating your business for good, until you get your mobile website designed and developed for the purpose. Hence having a mobile website is no more a choice but a mandate. For those who are new to the term- Mobile Site or Mobile Website, let’s first understand what is a mobile website- “The Mobile Web refers to the use of Internet-connected applications, or browser-based access to the Internet from a mobile device, such as a smart-phone or tablet computer, connected to a wireless network (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Web)”

Get the best DIS_Device Independent Strategy:-

As we know, now-a-days search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing etc) determines the PR (page rank) of a web page after considering numerous factors with respect to mobile browsers. Such factors are- websites’ performance on a mobile based browser, usability, downloading speed and screen rendering etc. This makes it perfectly clear that a search optimized website which efficiently encloses functionality and important content from the main sites will rank higher in results than a website that is just reformatted to fit in a mobile screen.

Hence, it is very important for businesses to get a device independent strategy that efficiently supports mobile OS.

Execute SEO Practices (traditional search engine optimization) on Mobile Platform:-

- Use of related Keywords in Title and Body- use of keywords in title and body makes the content more clear and focused which is good because mobile searches are mostly specific, short and crisp.

- Never miss out on Page Titles & Page Descriptions- these are the first elements which help the mobile browsers in understanding the gist of the page and in deciding…whether it should show in the results or not. Adding, make sure your page titles are similar to search terms used by maximum searchers.

- Web Page Coding- as we know, we have a wide variety of Operating Systems which are so-called supported by mobile browsers. Hence it is necessary for you to choose the best suiting coding like HTML Coding. This coding format is recommended because mobile browsers decipher HTML codes easily to arbitrate search relevancy.

Mobile Search… 5 Years – from Now

Actively increasing number of mobile purchase (urban & rural area) coupled with tremendous growth in mobile technologies, indicate that in coming times or say 5 years-from now, mobile/mobile search will be fundamental in driving huge website traffic to businesses (or, it may even overshadow the desktop-traffic). And for this, organizations should assimilate latest coding languages like HTML5 etc in their SEO practices to achieve improved usability and superior performance, leading to increased page ranks.

Before we go deep into the details of Social Media Campaign, let’s first understand what does Social Media essentially mean…Basically Social Media is all about interacting with people online, getting to know them better, sharing views & opinion with them and then it is about networking i.e. social media member’s engagement which includes conversations/discussions etc. Some of the major benefits of social media are- it enable companies to get in touch with their past and prospective clients. Moreover it allows them to keep in touch with other business heads/associates/partners and even relatives and friends, easily via the social networking site. Thus like this, it becomes easier for people to create buzz about their brand/product/service, keep a tab of what their competitors are doing to promote their brand and for their target audience and even keep in touch with their relatives/friends/partners.

Having said all of the above, it cannot be missed that Social Media is never as simple and easy as it may seem to many. It is rather a time-taking activity which includes many long and systematic processes and moreover, it requires continuous effort. And never to forget, Social Media is very expensive! Because of these reasons, it is advised that one should never take their social media campaign for granted. Moreover, one should make it a practice to monitor their Social Media campaign on a regular basis. This not only helps in keeping a check on the running of the campaign, but also helps in improving its over all performance.

So, if you too want to start monitoring your Social Media Campaign but are unaware of the ways of doing it, then here are the tips for you…! however, the first thing you need remember is that ‘for monitoring any type of campaign, it is very necessary for the person conducting the campaign to be clear with the four basic questions’…below mentioned are the same :-

*- What are the products/services being promoted through the campaign
*- What is the main motive of the campaign
*- Who all are the target group of your campaign
*- What is the expected result of the campaign

For example, if you have a website selling ladies footwear and now you want to start a campaign to create more & more awareness about your website so that maximum number of people comes to your site and buys footwear from there, then on the basis of the above mentioned questions here are the points to be taken in consideration before you start planning and organizing the campaign:-

*- Your products are- foot wears
*- Campaign objective is- to create awareness and gain publicity
*- Target Audience is – females of all ages
*- Expected result is – brand promotion and increased sales

So whenever you are thinking of launching a social media campaign make sure to go about it and prepare and monitor it according to the above mentioned questions and be sure of getting better results.

The onset of Internet has led to the sudden increase in the demand for outsourcing companies which can offer relevant and technologically advanced online services to people interested in conducting online business. Services that can help them in establishing their online presence and in conducting their business easily & efficiently on the path which will help their business grow and flourish. For all those who are not clear with the term “outsourcing”, let us first understand what does it mean- the word outsourcing basically means giving forth some of your business function to an external body/firm for essentially doing what you were to do. There could be many reason for one company outsourcing its work to other company…for example, this type of activity enables the organization to pay more attention and concentrate on other core areas which might be of higher importance.

The tremendous increase in the demand for outsourcing services have led to the emergence of numerous outsourcing companies from all over the world. And this in turn has also increased the competition among the outsourcing service providers, thereby making it difficult for people to choose the best one from them. Hence if you are planning to choose a value sourcing firm for your business then there are factors you must be clear with… Some factors you should keep in consideration while choosing your value service provider…Some of them are -

Credibility / Reputation - make sure that the outsourcing company you are getting yourself associated with, is experienced and reputed which means they have credibility and are trustworthy/ reliable. Never get puzzled by the show business. Thus make sure you enquire well about the experience of your service provider, their work portfolio, market reputation, internal strength etc. and this should be done well in advance i.e. before you sign on any papers of association.

Access – never ever freeze on a value sourcing firm which is not easily accessible in terms of distance, time or language etc. Because it is very necessary for a company to be in direct contact with its service provider since its enables the consultant to address your time-to-time requirements, send you frequent updates especially in times of urgency and make a suitable decision as soon as possible. And this cannot be possible if your service provider is not easily accessible.

Security – please understand one thing very carefully, no matter how big or small company- your service provider, it is never-ever safe and easy to share your organization’s core details with them. It can have dire consequences. Thus make very-very sure that the company you are hiring for outsourcing services, is completely worth being your confidante. Also investigate on how your value sourcing firm deals with the most confidential details of its other clients.

Hope the above mentioned has given you enough idea of how to choose your service provider. If you have more queries or need more information on this, then please visit us at -

It is a proven fact that the biggest concern of almost every website owner and web master is that of the bounce rate of their website. And if not just the bounce rate than the increasing number of bounce rate. This is why most of the webmasters always strive to reduce the bounce rate of their website because it not only affects the online business but also damages the reputation of the website among the search engines like Google Yahoo Bing etc. So if you too are going through this problem and even after putting constant effort have failed in stabilizing the bounce rate then below mentioned are some points which will help you get rid of this trouble…Have a read-through:

Website’s Compatibility with numerous popular browsers- Always remember, web compatibility with the browsers is the basic key to the success of the website. Because no one would like to visit and spend time on a website that is not compatible to the browser they are using, and is inconvenient-to-use, extra time-taking and causes irritation to the users. And this way, you might be loosing on quality leads.

Easy and Smooth Navigation- User-friendly navigation of a website is another important factor which plays a leading role in enabling visitors to spend more time on the website and go through it in a detailed manner. This is because a website which does not have a friendly-navigation, will never be able to retain the interest of the visitors. Rather it will distract them and the user will ultimately choose to move away instead of spending more time on an uneasy thing.

Make the best use of re-direction facility- Never ever compromise on the re-direction facility. Use it wherever necessary because it helps you present desirable and adequate information to the user at a relevant stage and it also saves the time of the visitor. Having said this, you must also never go over-board with it and use it only when it is genuinely required because excessive use of it makes the web page heavy.

Meaningful Relevant and Eye Catchy tag lines- Tag lines are first element that catches the attention the viewers and provides them the gist of the entire web page. So make sure the tag lines being used on your website are relevant to the information on the web page, are meaning and also attractive enough to catch the attention of the viewers.

Call-to-Action- Use call-to-action buttons on every page that talks about about your specialty and service offerings. This will stimulate users to put a query which will act as a business lead for you and will help you increase sales.

Allow user participation- Allowing user participation on your website will help you establish your brand identity, keep users aware of latest developments within your company and have their feedbacks. You can do this with the help of regular news posting, videos, live chat, discussions etc. However, do not add excessive and unwanted elements like images etc to your website. Remember, sober things always leave a long-lasting impact.

Try the above mentioned and if you need more information, feel free to get in touch with our consultants.

Organic search is the search that has results appearing in SERP because they are highly relevant and well optimized from search engine’s point of view. They are the result of high-impact search engine optimization process and are completely keyword based. They are also referred as free search results. Paid search also known as inorganic search or even commonly termed as PPC (PAY PER CLICK), on the other hand are sponsored links used for advertising or promoting the business for a short period of time. They are used in the form of advertising campaign where the advertisers need to pay to the search engines, every time online visitors click on the ad. The position and rankings of paid search result depends heavily upon the bid money.

Organic search gives long time and life time results however, paid search results are quick and temporary, which means as long as you spend money on the campaign your ads will appear in the SERPs and the moment you stop, it will also disappear.

The basic difference between organic search and paid search are in the form of:

Position of appearance- organic search results appear on the right hand side of the page, just below the search box & above organic results. They have yellow background.

Duration of results- organic results are slow but life-time results which means once they start appearing, they continue to show for quite a long period of time. Paid search are quick in showing results but they quickly disappear too.

Trust level- in case of trust level, it can be said that they are moderate in case of organic search but it is less in case of paid-search as these result quickly goes off (the moment you stop campaigning)

Difficultly in achieving top positions- acquiring top positions in organic search requires lot of continuous effort but can be achieved relatively easily in paid search (first and foremost, it is the matter of the amount of money you spend).

Traffic volumes- Though traffic volume depends on the position of various keywords in organic search however, in the case of paid search the traffic is high for important keywords.

Advantages and disadvantages of organic search and paid search!

Organic Search (advantages):

- They do not charge any money
- They are natural results, thus more reliable
- These results take time to appear but are long lasting
- It has been observed that they are more appreciated than the paid search results, thus more clicked

PPC (advantages):

- Results come quickly
- The more money you spend, the higher ranking you are likely to get
- It has ability to assess most preferred keywords for organic searches
- It has the ability to connect audience to more targeted landing page

Organic Search (disadvantages):

- It is a time taking process
- At times it can be a costly affair because rate per hour of SEO can be expensive
- High ranking & visibility of every web-page in SERPs is very difficult.

PPC (disadvantages):

- It consumes lot of money
- The click scheme involved in it is very common

Organic search or Paid Search; which is more suitable!

Though both the methods have its own advantages and disadvantages and are beneficial for online marketing in their own right, but it is widely believed that Organic Search is far more effective in the long run as it delivers life time results. On the other hand PPC; which is extremely costly can be beneficial only for a small period of time. Never-the-less it is also highly effective because it helps to target the niche audience, as soon as one wants.

So if you too are thinking of promoting your business by any of the above mentioned methods, then it is necessary to say that you should first properly analyze your nature of business, budget and every other aspect and only then decide on the method you would follow. This will not only ensure good results but will also keep you on the safer side.

By now I am sure you must be familiar with the term ‘Social media optimization’ but do you know how can you exactly measure your Return On Investment in Social Media Optimization…? No, then let’s begin with …by once again understanding the term…and then proceeding on to the measures that can help you in measuring the ROI in SMO.

Social media optimization can simply be explained as a newer medium of business promotion & branding, which aims at inviting targeted potential customers to the website with the help of online discussions, debates and many more user-engaging activities (and hence showing them their business-product-services etc). Although Social Media Optimization emerged as a form of cyber socialization and online information gathering but now-a-days it is primarily used for business promotion, branding and expansion. Over the years SMO has turned out to be one of the most widely accepted forms of business promotion which allows people to meet new members online i.e. on the forums, listen & voice different opinions and in the due time promote their business.

Well, now that we are clear about social media optimization, let’s move on and understand what Return On Investment in SMO is !

In the last few years, it has been observed that social media optimization has been hugely successful in providing numerous business opportunities to online business owners and for this reason now-a-days most of the businesses find participating in social networking activities mandatory. However, very few of them have realized that conducting social media campaign and participating in media activities can be a business expense which is in the form of time. However, for the companies who hire media experts and professionals for conducting SMO campaigns, the expense can also be in the form of money.

Moreover, you will find it very strange that according to a survey conducted by marketer.com it has been found that almost 80% of the online business owners have never even calculated the amount of money that goes in conducting social networking campaigns and their ROI on social media optimization. The most common reason for this is that people think, checking Return On Investment on social media optimization is almost impossible as there is no such method by which it can be calculated. This belief is wrong because even Geoff Ramsey, eMarketer CEO once stated “marketers believe that measuring true ROI for social media is difficult,” but this belief is relatively wrong because there are many metrics available with which it can be easily measured.

So the question is, if the companies want to measure their ROI on SMO, then how should they do it?

So here are a few tips which will help you in doing so !

- One of the most common methods is to simply calculate the amount of traffic that your website is receiving from different social media networks.

- Use the simple formula which is ROI = (x-y)/y – here x is final value and y is starting value. For example if your investment value is $ 20 and what you have got back is $ 60 then your ROI on SMO will be: (60 – 20) / 20 = 2 times your initial investment. Though in financial sense ROI is calculated completely in the form of dollars and cents but the capital can refer any form of investment – monetary or not.

- Metrics tool- It is accepted that ROI ? metrics but when it comes to ROI on SMO you can rely on the metrics like traffic counts, social media followers and fans, comments etc. Here, the main idea is not to go by the numbers but to identify what is the reaction of people, what are they ending up with and are they agreeing to what you are saying?

- Google Analytics- it is a free option for the measurement of ROI, but one should never go by the free tag because it can really provide a strong baseline for checking numerous factors like backlinks, users’ activity and many more.

- PostRank analytics- it is a bunch of tools which help in measuring social engagement on other platforms and services. The only good thing about it is that, instead raw numbers you can get to see compliments and comments from other sites that contribute to your statistics. It is also a powerful tool for checking the sentiment analysis.

You can also use tangible metrics form like:

- Number of increased visitors
- Number of returning visitors
- Number of page views
- Average time spent on the site
- Total amount of Adsense revenue &

Intangible metrics forms like:

- Customer satisfaction
- Improved communication with the members and customers
- Quality reviews
- Increased sales and quick brand perception

The above mentioned are some of the easiest ways by which you can measure your ROI on social media optimization.

Now-a-days, almost every organization and individual owns a blog and their ardent desire is to make their blog a very popular one on Google with maximum back links and high page rank. However, there are very few who actually know the correct process for making their blog popular and successful with increasing traffic coming to it.

So for all such people who lack in proper knowledge that can make their blog a popular and successful one, we have mentioned some information which will prove to be useful.

Have a read-through:

Publish more frequently- Always remember, the more posts you publish on your blog, the more authenticated and reliable one your blog will be considered by Google. It means if there is a 2 years old blog site which publishes 1 post every month or every 2 months and there is your blog which is just half-an-year old but on it 2-3 posts are published every week, then chances are quite likely that your blog will be considered as more matured and trusted one by the search engine and its page rank will also be higher than the older one. So make it a point to publish as many posts as you can and as frequently as you can.

Quality is more important than Quality- Although as mentioned, it is very important for a blog to publish posts frequently in order to remain in the good books of Google however, not to undermine is the fact that quality is more important than quantity and always be so, not only for Google but for every other search engines. So when you are publishing posts on your blog, make sure you are not being driven by the time factor and compromising on the quality. Ensure whatever you are posting has quality and is worth being posted on your blog, thus they are unique and informative.

Proper Interlinking- Efficient linking is as important as posting. No matter how many posts you publish every week, it will be of practically no use if your blog is not interlinked- read more and keyword based linking. Interlinking of the inner pages of the website with the home page with high page rank and keywords within the content linked with other relevant content always proves to be beneficial as it shows the vastness of the blog and gives an impression of the detailed information it contains.

Keep the fundamentals correct- Make sure you never loose out on the basics of content. It means, while writing the content for the post, ensure that the basics of content writing – keyword density, keyword proximity, keyword prominence etc are kept intact. Being SEO friendly is a very important thing to be for the blog contents. And last but not the least, neither ignore the keywords nor be over-obsessed with it. What precisely I mean is that the content for the blog post should be unique, informative, grammatically correct, rich and social media as well as SEO friendly. Intact

For information regarding SEO/ SEM/ Web Design/ SMO/ Online Advertising/ Web Hosting/ Web Maintenance etc, please visit:

Now that we are taking about “Google Instant Preview” today and since it is a new topic on our Blog, so first let’s understand what exactly Google Instant Preview is…?

In simple language ‘GIP’ can be explained as a simple application which acts as the addition to the Google Instant Makeover and gives to the user, the benefit of getting a preview of the website while rolling the mouse over the search results and much before opening any particular site. In other words it can also be said that Google Instant Preview is an add-on which gives a graphic representation of the web-page in reference to the keywords or in accordance to the highlighted word or group of words within the search query. And with the facility, the addition-to-the Google enables search-engine-users to immediately compare the search results and thus save time (it helps them in saving time because the user does not have to open each and every site to see what they are looking for, is there or not…).

Now moving on lets discuss the already much discussed topic… “Does Google Instant Preview” affect search engine optimization of a website at all…? There has been much discussion and debate over the above mentioned topic however, still not many are aware of what has been the outcome of all of those, so let’s understand now:

See, it is very clear that with the help of the add-on, people will not have to open as many links as they used to when the instant-preview option was not available. Hence the number of websites, people generally open while browsing will naturally get reduced, as searchers will be able to see what the site is all about and whether it is helpful for them or not. Now…, this also meas that the webmasters/search engine optimizers will have to ensure that their website is performing its best in every ways, whether it is about giving information with the help contents, graphic representations or imagery displays etc. It is also important that the content of the website is based on most relevant keywords according to the theme of the site (as they help in getting traffic) and moreover, the website regularly updated so that it doesn’t give an impression of stagnation to the online searcher. Even the Meta descriptions which play a very important role in the process of SEO should be made highly relevant and the over all look and feel of the website should be attractive enough to catch the attention of the users.

Thus, we come to believe that as a matter of fact, every addition or change in Google have some consequences on the SEO mechanism and Google Instant Preview is no exception however, it will not make that huge of a difference, provided one takes the necessary precautionary steps in advance.

For information regarding SEO/ SEM/ Web Design/ SMO/ Online Advertising/ Web Hosting/ Web Maintenance etc, please visit:
